Tunisia is part of the North African region; the IT industry (software and services) has been one of the priorities for the country’s development. The development of the IT industry has been facilitated by a good telecom infrastructure and a high level of education. Tunisia has various technoparks to help IT companies develop their activities (El Gazala, Manouba, Ennahili, Sfax). Tunisia is looking to strongly develop e-Gov activities. According to the Ministry of Industry, 51,000 people work for the IT industry. Most companies are in the north and top eastern side of the country along the Mediterranean coast.
